Results of Junior Championships 2014

On March 21 after registrations and weigh-in 124 athletes from 15 regions of Russia were allowed to compete.

The opening ceremony of the Russian Koresh Junior Championships 2014 took place at the Manchazh Sport and Recreation Centre (SRC) Sverdlovsk region, Krasnoufimsk suburb, on 22 March. At the opening ceremony were Visiting Dignitaries such as head of Artinsk urban district A.A. Konstantinov; Deputy First Minister of Physical Culture, Sport and Youth Affairs of the Sverdlovsk region V.F. Korotkih; member of the House of Representatives of the Sverdlovsk Territory Legislative Assembly, President of the nonprofit charity fund “Malaya Rodina”, Vice-President of the Koresh Federation of Sverdlovsk region A.F. Abzalov; head of Krasnoufimsk urban district V.V. Artyemyevski; head of Krasnoufimsk municipal district O.V. Ryapisov; head of  Achitsky urban district V.P. Kosogorov etc. Executive Supervisor Ahmethanov R.R. on behalf of the Russian Koresh Federation presented to Koresh Federation of Sverdlovsk region wrestling mat. A chief referee Kadyrov M.K., the Chief Judge reminded wrestlers of competition rules.

After the official part artists from Kazan performed for the audience and guests with songs, dancing and playing the saxophone. It was Laureate of international competition of vocalists “tatar zhyry” - Svetlana Sabirova, creative duet - Saniya Fayzullina and Gregory Sergeev,      chansonnier and composer - Rustem Assadulin.

On this day the press conference was held with visiting dignitaries. Speakers discussed issues of financing and training of personnel. In the opening speech Ahmethanov R.R. noted the importance of the Sverdlovsk region in carrying such competitions in wrestling “Koresh”. He spoke about achievements and future plans of the Russian Koresh Federation and International Koresh Federation.

President of Koresh Federation of Sverdlovsk region Minniakhmetov S.S. told about the participation of the national team in the competition and about Koresh tournament, dedicated to the memory of Hero of the Soviet Union Hazipov Nazip Hazipovich from Achitsky urban district. He also raised the issues of finance and lack of professional staff.

V.F. Korotkih, Deputy First Minister of Physical Culture, Sport and Youth Affairs of the Sverdlovsk region expressed his opinions on this occasion: “This is a new sport. If we want to get legitimacy and budget we have to be accredited. Today we are doing this. We need to establish Sports Development Regional Programs for Koresh before we can be accredited.”

Y.I. Biktuganov Minister of Education of Sverdlovsk region spoke about vestibule training in Krasnoufimsk Teacher Training College. Start vestibule training of “Koresh” also in Universities on his plans.

Vice-President of the Koresh Federation of Sverdlovsk region A.F. Abzalov is reminded that wrestling school “Sambo” was developed in Sverdlovsk region in the Soviet times. This can be basis for wrestling “Koresh” now.

 The closing ceremony included an appearance by artist from Kazan and Awarding ceremony of the winners and prize – winners after the final battle, on March 23. The winners received medals, cups, cash prizes and certificate of honour diplomas signed by the Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation V. Mutko. 

Republic of Tatarstan won first place, the second - Bashkortostan, third place - Orenburg region in the unofficial team event of Junior Championships (15-16 Ages). Fighters of the Republic of Tatarstan: Valliulin Elmir (45 kg), Gafurov Radik (50kg), Hakimhanov Ilmir (55kg), Falyakhov Islam (60 kg), Mullakhmetov Ilnar (65 kg), Zaripov Fayaz (75 kg), Denis Zinchenko (80kg), Vadim Demidov (80 kg) won 8 out of 9 gold medals. One gold medal won Samigullin Ayrat (70kg) from Orenburg region.  

Republic of Bashkortostan won first place, the second – Tatarstan, third place - the Kirov region in the unofficial team event of Junior Championships (17-18 Ages). Wrestlers of the Republic of Bashkortostan - Muhtasimov Bulat (55kg), Dinar Kaleev (75 kg.), Bashirov Rasul (80kg), Kashapov Ildar (85kg.). 3 gold medals won wrestlers from Tatarstan - Gadershin Bulat (65 kg), Mahmutov Eric (70kg), Davletshin Rinat (+ 90 kg). And the Republic of Mari El - Ivanov Arslan (90kg), Kirov region - Akhmatkhanov Ildan (60kg).
